Spokane is NOT for Sale

"I will be the Mayor who says NO to our citizens paying more
so that outside developers may profit from building outside the city limits.

I will be the Mayor who listens to the community
and understands that Spokane is NOT for sale to outside interests."

On July 21st and again on August 10th in the Spokesman-Review, Woodward advocated spending your dollars to subsidize housing developments outside the city limits. Her newest "solution" is called sprawl. Sprawl is very lucrative for the outside developers who invested in Woodward's mayoral campaign.
These subsidies to developers come at the expense of your neighborhood, our water resources and your pocketbook. To fund her "solution" Woodward will have to significantly raise your water and sewer rates or cut projects in your neighborhood.

Sprawl increases traffic congestion. If you don't like traffic on Regal and Indian Trail Road at 5PM now, it will only get worse.

There is a better way to build our community. We should start by focusing on improving our own neighborhoods. Learn more about my revitalization efforts.

I will be the Mayor who champions ALL neighborhoods
in our city over sprawling developments outside city limits.

I will be the Mayor who says NO to our citizens paying more
so that outside developers may profit from building outside the city limits.

I will be the Mayor who listens to the community
and understands that Spokane is NOT for sale to outside interests.

Thank you for your support. I hear you.
